We have followed with pride the voyage of the Axiom-3 mission with Türkiye’s first astronaut, Mr. Alper Gezeravcı, which was blasted off last night to the International Space Station (ISS).
We believe that the journey of the Türkiye’s first astronaut will inspire the young people in the Turkic world and completion of the 13 scientific studies within the mission will pave the way for deepening the space cooperation between the Member and Observer States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Turkish Government and brotherly Turkish people on the occasion of Türkiye’s first astronaut reaching the space and wish that this will mark a milestone for the prospective space studies within the Turkic world.
