Message of the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov on the occasion of the Seventy-Second Anniversary of the United Nations;
On behalf of the Turkic Council Secretariat and on my own behalf, I woud like to congratulate wholeheartedly the Seventy-Second Anniversary of the United Nations.

I would like to express our gladness for the deepening relations of the Turkic Council with the United Nations (UN) and its related specialized agencies such as UN Development Programme (UNDP), UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), UN Office for South-South Cooperation (UNSSC), UN Tourism Organization and UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

In the preamble of the Nakhchivan Agreement, which is the founding agreement of the Turkic Council, the member states reaffirmed their commitment to the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations (UN) and identified Council’s main objective as deepening the comprehensive cooperation among the Turkic Speaking States as well as contributing to the regional and global peace and stability. Turkic Council moves towards this direction in all projects and activities it carries out.

In this regard, I wish that the work carried out by the UN with the development-oriented approach, to reach its goal of establishment of peace and tranquility all over the world and in our region.

Ambassador Ramil Hasanov
Secretary General of the Turkic Council
