8 of March, the International Women’s Day is the day to pay tribute to every Woman and to salute their immense contribution in shaping the society and the destiny of generations. It is also a propitious date to celebrate, vindicate and honor their role as well as their achievements in every sphere of life.
In the Turkic world in particular, one of the greatest legacies that remain to us from our ancestors is the great importance, value and appreciation given to women as the fundamental constituent of the civilization. We acknowledge their vital part, great vision, leadership and courage which strengthened our families, governments and businesses.
The Turkic Council will continue all its efforts to empower the women in the society with an understanding based on rights, justice and equality, so that all women may pursue their thoughts, and reach their full potential.
Taking this opportunity, I would like to wish women personnel of the Turkic Council Secretariat and women in our Member States, as well as all over the world a happy, fruitful and inspiring International Women's Day.
