The date May 19, 1919, on which the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK came to Samsun, represents the beginning of National War of Independence which is one of the most important turning points of the history of the Republic of Turkey.
On the ocassion of this important day which is dedicated to youth, hope and progress, on behalf of the Turkic Council and my own, we commemorate with respect the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK and his comrades in arms, as well as all the martyrs and veterans, who are the architects of the Republic of Turkey and congratulate wholeheartedly “19th of May the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day”.
