Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan visited the Representation Office of the Turkic Council in Hungary
Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Jamshid Khodjaev paid a visit to the Representation Office of the Turkic Council in Budapest on February 16, 2021.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for Security Policy H.E. Péter Sztáray and the Executive Director of the Representation Office Dr. János Hóvári welcomed the Minister at the Representation Office. 
After the presentation of the Office building, a working meeting was held between the Minister of Agriculture and the State Secretary, where the Executive Director of the Representation Office briefed on the activities of the Budapest Office of the Turkic Council, which aim at enhancing cooperation with Hungary and developing closer ties with the European institutions.
The State Secretary noted that Hungary considers the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Turkic Council region as a serious opening given both the depth of the connections rooted in culture and history and the new era being shaped with the recent revival of bilateral relations and series of bilateral agreements signed in the last few days.
Minister Khodjaev thanked for the invitation to the Representation Office and appreciating the pragmatism demonstrated by the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Péter Szijjárto, who is actively involved in bringing the Hungarian-Uzbek relations into new and stronger synergies over the last few years, expressed his satisfaction that time has come for building much deeper relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary thanks to the platform provided by the Turkic Council. Minister Khodjaev particularly highlighted the cooperation efforts taking place between the Ministries of Agriculture of the Member and Observer States of the Turkic Council. He added that the upcoming high-level meetings between Heads of States of Hungary and Uzbekistan will serve as a great opportunity to seal the friendly relations and embark on long term relationships not only in the field of agriculture, but also in other fields as economy, business, investments, education and pharmaceutics sector. 
The Executive Director of the Turkic Council praised the complex reforms that are under way in Uzbekistan and added that Hungary can have an important niche in providing help in certain sectors and that the Office in Budapest is at the disposal of interested parties to facilitate any support. Mr. Hóvári also noted that the Turkic Council itself has embarked on a reform path the key documents of which will be approved at the upcoming Extraordinary Summit in Turkistan, Kazakhstan. Mr. Hóvári also encouraged the Uzbek side to consider the invitation to the fiftieth anniversary of the 1971 Budapest Exhibition World of Hunting – the World of Hunting and Nature Exhibition 2021, which will be held in Budapest at the end of September, where the Turkic Council Representation Office will install a permanent stand.
