On 12 November 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Jeenbek Kulubaev met with the newly appointed Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev congratulated Kubanychbek Omuraliev on the appointment to a high international post, noting that new Secretary General will lead the OTS Secretariat in a crucial period of its institutional development.
During the meeting, Parties discussed topical issues of cooperation within the framework of the OTS. Particular attention was paid to the need for timely and full implementation of the results of the 9th Summit of the Heads of the OTS Member States held in Samarkand.
The Secretary General briefed the Minister about the upcoming changes in the concept of the work of the Secretariat and its interaction with other related and affiliated institutions of Turkic cooperation in order to further strengthen and enhance coordinated work for the benefit of the Turkic world.
In conclusion, Minister Kulubaev confirmed the willingness of the Kyrgyz side to provide full assistance and support to the activities of the Secretary General and the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States.
