Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev at the Istanbul Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 18 November 2022.
Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that Secretary General Omuraliev assumed his duties as the Secretary General at a very important period and indicated that they will work together with the Secretary General for the further development and strengthening of the Organization in the upcoming period.
Secretary General Omuraliev thanked Minister Çavuşoğlu for the continuous support provided to the activities of the Organization.
During the meeting, Minister Çavuşoğlu and Secretary General Omuraliev discussed the areas of cooperation and related undertakings carried out within the framework of the Organization.
Secretary General Omuraliev briefed Minister Çavuşoğlu on the prospective changes in the working concept of the Secretariat and in interaction with other relevant and affiliated institutions of Turkic Cooperation in order to strengthen and develop coordinated work for the benefit of the Turkic world.
Wishing Secretary General Omuraliev success in his new post, Minister Çavuşoğlu stressed that they will continue to support the new Secretary General and the Organization in their efforts.
