Department of Tourism at the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic and a group of local tour operators attended the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT 2019) on 12-14 March 2019 where they represented Kyrgyzstan. Authorities from the Department of Tourism also promoted the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package during exhibition.
The MITT 2019, one of the largest international tourism exhibitions in Russia, serves as a proven platform for business communication, especially for industry professionals. Every year, the event hosts over 20 thousand participants coming from more than 100 foreign countries and regions of Russia bringing together more than 1,800 tour operators and companies.
The Kyrgyz officials exhibited the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package to the potential buyers and customers and in order to establish and consolidate the "Modern Silk Road" brand in the industry. They also attended pre-arranged B2B meetings to establish new contacts for future collaboration, especially with foreign tour operators.
