An online expert meeting among National Road Transport Associations was held on 22 July 2024, with the participation of Heads and representatives of the Associations as well as the International Road Transport Union (IRU). 

The participants discussed the implementation of decisions taken during the inaugural meeting of Heads of National Road Transport Associations, held on 6 March 2024 in Istanbul. Specifically, the parties exchanged views on the modalities of a new platform to be established within the OTS, which aims to bring together National Road Transport Associations to actively promote the development of road transport and strengthen connectivity within the Turkic Region.

The parties also discussed the necessary actions to reduce and progressively eliminate barriers to road transport and to support the sector.
