Mr. Ramil Hasanov, appointed by the Heads of States during the 4th Summit of the Turkic Council in Bodrum on June 2014,  took over Secretary General position from Ambassador Halil Akıncı with a aceremony organized at the premises of the Turkic Council Secretariat.

Mr. Hasanov conveyed his thanks to the outgoing Secretary General Mr. Akıncı for his extraordinary services as the founding Secretary General of the Turkic Council and stated that he will work towards enhancing and developing aims and goals of the organization to a further stage together with all the Secretariat staff, in order to achieve mutual cooperation among the member countries.

Mr. Akıncı also handed over the flag of the Council to Mr. Hasanov.

Furthermore they signed a document on budget transfer.
