On 26-27 November 2014, Farid Damirli, Project Director of the Turkic Council, participated at the International Conference “Industry in XXI century: basic trends, modern approach and experience in industry policy” held in Baku, Azerbaijan. A greeting speech of the President of Azerbaijan H.E. İlham Aliyev was delivered to participants by Minister of Economy and Industry Mr. Şahin Mustafayev. Then the Minister of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan, Director-General of United Nations Industrial Development Organization, UN Resident Coordinator in Baku and Ambassador of Germany to Azerbaijan delivered their statements on issues related to industrial development.
Following opening statements panel sessions were conducted. At the end of the conference a visit to Sumgait Industrial Park and Sumgait Technologies Park was organized and attended by the participants.
