On the margins of the Turkic Council`s activities in the field of tourism cooperation namely Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Tour Package, the delegation participating in the tourism information tour to Kazakhstan visited Turkestan on 22 March 2016.
Delegation arrived from Almaty to Turkestan in the morning via train, met with the Mayor of Turkestan and then participated in the Nowruz festival. Following a comprehensive visit of the tomb of Ahmet Yesevi, the group carried out observations at the tomb of Arslanbap and in the historical city of Otrar. According to the programme delegation then moved to Chimkent.
Turkic Council Project Directors, Pelin Musabay Baki, Yedil Myrzakhanov and Yıldız Uzakova coordinate the set programme which will continue with Chimkent and Taraz until 25 March 2016.
