Organization of Turkic States convened the 7th Meeting of the Official Foreign Policy Research Centers of the Member and Observer States in Istanbul 
The 7th meeting of the Official Foreign Policy Research Centers of the Member and Observer States of the Organization of Turkic States hosted by the Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey held in Istanbul on 10 December 2021.
More than 40 academics participated in the meeting that provided a real brainstorming on the future cooperation perspectives of the Organization. 
The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by Mr. Ufuk Ulutaş, Chairman of the Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
As an honorary speaker, H.E.Mr. Yavuz Selim Kıran, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey underlined the growing role of all the Turkic Republics and the Organization of Turkic States in the international scene during the recent years. Deputy Minister stated that Istanbul has been a center of intellectuals throughout history and underlined their commitment to keep up this spirit with the engagement of academics from the Member and Observer States. He pointed out that this approach will shape the "world of thought" to empower the Turkic cooperation.
Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Mr. Gismat Gozalov as the keynote speaker, emphasized the critical significance of cooperation among the Official Foreign Policy Research Centers, believing that their research efforts directly contribute not only to the enhancement of cooperation processes among the Member and Observer States within the region but also leverage the global collaboration. G. Gozalov also touched upon the successful holding of the 8th Summit of Organization of Turkic States, where the accession of Turkmenistan as an observer country was carried out along with the adoption of the “Turkic World Vision 2040”. In addition, he mentioned that the name change from the Turkic Council to the Organization of Turkic States will contribute to revealing the real potential of this regional cooperation institution.

Chairman of the Center for Analysis of International Relations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ambassador  Farid Shafiev, Deputy Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Sanat Kushkumbayev, Deputy Director for Strategy of the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Mr. Tamás Péter Baranyi  as the panellists at the first session on “Turkic World Vision 2040: Deeping Integration and Cooperation between Member and Observer States” shared their views and proposals on the cooperation among the Member and Observer States along with the Vision document and its further implementation. The importance of strengthening collaboration in the field of economy and trade, effective utilization of the joint economic and transit transport potential of the Member and Observer States was also underlined in the panel. 
In the second panel on "Stabilizing Central Asia: Area of Cooperation for the Stability of Afghanistan" Dr. Ufuk Ulutas, Chairman of the Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey (SAM), Ms. Chinara Adamkulova, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Kazy Dikambaev, Mr.Akramjon Nematov, First Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic and International Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan as the panellists shared their analyses and proposals achieving stability and prosperity in Afghanistan.
Furthermore, the experts had productive discussions on the next steps, such as elaborating on issuing special publications on the “Turkic World Vision - 2040”, as well as using scholarship opportunities for their researchers, and exchanging works and publications related to the activities and projects of the Organization of Turkic States. 
The Parties also agreed to hold a conference in Shuhsa city,  the cultural capital of Azerbaijan as well as the next regular meeting of the Official Research Centers in Tashkent in 2022.
