Organization of Turkic States delivered COVİD-19 vaccines to African countries 
The Organization of Turkic States has delivered a total of 611,200 doses of Sinovac vaccine to Burkina Faso and Togo on 6 December 2021.
The vaccine donation initiative of Member and Observer states under the auspices of the Organization of Turkic States to African countries in need was also welcomed by the Heads of State during the 8th Summit held in Istanbul on 12 November 2021.
400,000 Sinovac doses were delivered to Burkina Faso and 211,200 doses of Sinopharm vaccine were sent to Togo by a military cargo plane of the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Turkey.
Immediately after the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic, Organization of Turkic States held its first Extraordinary Summit on the theme of “Solidarity and Cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic” on April 10, 2020.
This donation is the part of the contribution of the Organization to global fight against COVİD-19 pandemic in terms of providing more vaccines who need the most in countries that cannot afford them.
