The delegation of the OTS headed by the Deputy Secretary General, Dr. Ömer Kocaman held meeting with the Director of Sustainable Energy Division of the UNECE, Mr. Dario Liguti on 24 January 2024 in Geneva. 

During the meeting, Dr. Ömer Kocaman highlighted the importance of energy connectivity, as well as expressed eagerness for joint activities in the fields of sustainable energy, trade and transport in 2024 through tangible projects such as eTIR and eCMR. 

Mr. Dario Liguti, underlined that the UNECE is interested in contributing in the development of the energy connectivity in the Turkic region, as well as establishing strong cooperation with OTS. 

The Parties expressed their readiness to coordinate their collaborative efforts through an annual Action Plan to be adopted in the upcoming period.
