The OTS Deputy Secretary General Mr. Mirvokhid Azimov met with Mr. Asset Assavbayev, Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA (PS IGC TRACECA), Mr. Igor Runov, Executive Secretary of the International Center for Transport Diplomacy, and representatives of leading transport and logistics companies from Member States on 12 May 2023 in a hybrid format.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged information on transport and transit priorities and activities and discussed measures for developing container transport and addressing bottlenecks along the corridors, tariff formation, and increasing transit potential.

Recognizing the significance of transit corridors connecting Europe with Central Asia, particularly the Middle Corridor, and the need for effective integration of transport modes, the parties agreed to collaborate in implementing digital solutions to streamline transport and transit procedures, organizing block trains, and holding an International Intermodal Transport Forum in the coming period.
