Upon invitation of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the International Observation Mission of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) headed by Deputy Secretary General Sadi Jafarov monitored the Early Presidential Election in the Republic of Uzbekistan on 9 July 2023 in Tashkent. 
The delegation of International Election Observation Mission was comprised of the representatives from the Secretariat of the OTS as well as the Central Election Commission and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Member States other than Uzbekistan.
As part of the pre-election observation process, on 7 July 2023, the Mission held a meeting with H.E. Zayniddin Nizamkhodjaev, Chairperson of the CEC of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the Mission's members were provided with comprehensive information regarding the preparations for the election.
On the election day, the Mission conducted the observation of the voting procedures in 21 polling stations in Tashkent city and shared the Mission’s assessment on the election with national, international and public media outlets at a press conference held on 10 July 2023.
