The Extraordinary Meeting of the General Assembly of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) was held on 6 March 2024 in video conference format.
The members of TCCI headed by Mr. M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TCCI & TOBB; Mr. Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (“ASK”); Mr. Temir Sariev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic; Mr. Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Mr. Rustam Tazhenov. Advisor to Chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (“Atameken”); Mr. Turgay Deniz, President of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce; Ms. Flóra Pálmay, Director for International Affairs of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Mr. Mergen Gurdow, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan; and Dr. Omer Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, delivered their speeches.
The Parties discussed changes to the status of observer membership in the TCCI Charter and decided to make de jure amendments to the relevant article of the Charter, giving OTS observers the opportunity for full membership in the TCCI.
At the request of Turkmenistan, the TCCI General Assembly considered the application of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan for membership in TCCI. It unanimously approved their admission as full members of TCCI.
