OTS Secretary General addressed the 30th anniversary event of TURKSOY in Tashkent

Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Ambassador Kubanycbek Omuraliev addressed the guests at the Gala Concert organized in Tashkent on 19 June 2023 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the TURKSOY.

At the opening ceremony of the Gala Concert, H.E. Khairitdin Sultanov, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Sultanbai Raev, Secretary General of the TURKSOY, and H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev addressed the guests.

In his address to the event, Secretary General Omuraliev noted that the rapid changes taking place in the world and significant events of global and regional scale make cooperation and integration among the Turkic States even more important.  He stated that as the Organization of Turkic States, great efforts are being made to integrate the Turkic world and to make it stronger in the face of global challenges.

Informing the participants about the demanding agenda and vision of the Organization, the Secretary General underlined that as significant Turkic cooperation organizations, TURKSOY and Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation make great contributions to the preserve and convey the cultural heritage of the Turkic world to future generations and its promotion at the international level.

The event, hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan. Before the Gala concert famous figures of culture and art of Uzbekistan were awarded with commemorative medals by the TURKSOY dedicated to its 30th anniversary .

More than 150 well-known figures of culture, literature and art, public figures from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan took part in the Gala Concert, which held at the International Forums Palace of Tashkent.
