OTS Secretary General H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek Omuraliev delivered a public lecture on the theme of “Organization of Turkic States’ vision to promote regional cooperation along the Silk Road” at the Diplomatische Akademie Wien in partnership with the Embassies of the OTS Member States accredited in Austria on 31 March 2023.

The lecture was moderated by Ambassador Emil Brix, Director of the Vienna School of International Studies, and attended by the Ambassadors of the Member and Observer States of the OTS, Heads and representatives of other diplomatic missions, Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international organizations based in Vienna, as well as the Academy’s students.

In his address, the Secretary General gave a brief account of the Organization of Turkic States’s establishment purposes and its role in fostering multilateral comprehensive relations among the Turkic States as well as regional cooperation.

Ambassador Omuraliev also shared a Powerpoint presentation on the “Turkic World Vision-2040” and the OTS Strategy 2022-2026 documents that lay out the Organization's medium and long-term goals as a means of overcoming the challenges of the modern era.

The Secretary General emphasized that the OTS promises to be a strong and transparent platform of growing cooperation and solidarity in the Turkic World in the upcoming years.

The public lecture was received with great interest and continued with the questions and answers part where the Secretary General and the Ambassadors of the Member States answered the multiple questions by the participants.
