The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Zheenbek Kulubaev, in the framework of his working visit to Bishkek on 10 May 2023.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues on the organization's agenda, as well as the cooperation of the OTS Member States in various fields, including the implementation of agreements reached by the Heads of State and the decisions of the 9th and extraordinary summits of the OTS held in Samarkand and Ankara.

Secretary General emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fields of security, economy and transport, implementing specific projects in these areas that would serve the interests of all OTS Member States.

The Secretary General informed the Minister about the organization's current activities, plans for 2023, and ongoing work to enhance the efficiency of Turkic cooperation institutions.

The parties also discussed upcoming OTS events to be held in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the international activities of the organization. In particular, the Minister commended the Secretary General's efforts to establish and strengthen the OTS's cooperation with other international organizations, which in turn enhances the role and significance of the organization on the international stage.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their mutual intention to further develop the relations between Turkic States.
