On August 9, 2022, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Baghdad Amreyev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Jeenbek Kulubaev.

During the meeting, Secretary General briefed the Foreign Minister on the preparations for the upcoming OTS Summit to be held in Samarkand on November 11, 2022. In particular, he shared with Minister Kulubaev the ongoing efforts to complete the documents to be signed during the Summit in the fields of political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and educational cooperation between the Member States.

Minister Kulubaev expressed gratitude to the Secretariat for its continuous support to the Kyrgyz Republic and the growing multifaceted cooperation within the Organization aimed at strengthening the unity of the Turkic states. In this vein, the Minister assessed positevely the work of the 13th meeting of the Council of Aksakals of the OTS, which took place on August 8, 2022 in Bishkek.

Secretary General and Foreign Minister discussed the prospects for the development of the Organization in the near future and the activities planned within the OTS agenda.

Parties also exchanged views on a number of pressing issues on regional and global agenda.
