The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Laziz Kudratov on 28 April 2023, during his working visit to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, Minister Kudratov expressed his gratitude to Secretary General Omuraliev for participation in the 2nd Tashkent International Investment Forum and Panel Session discussions on the theme of ““Transport interconnectivity is a driver of economic growth and international trade” organized within the Forum.
Ambassador Omuraliev congratulated the Minister Kudratov on his recent appointment to the high position and wished him success. The Secretary General also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and active participation of Uzbekistan in the development of economic cooperation within the framework of the OTS.
Both sides conveyed their readiness for working towards enhancing the legal basis in the field of trade and investments among the Turkic States, in particular signing multilateral Free Trade Agreement on Services and Investments and Partnership Agreement on Digital Economy, as well as other mechanisms and initiatives on the economic agenda of the Organization.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding of the importance of further fruitful cooperation, and the sides agreed to continue their efforts with a view of realization of concrete projects in the trade and economy sphere.
