OTS Secretary General met with the Associate Administrator of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York 
Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev had a meeting with the Associate Administrator of UNDP, H.E. Ms. Usha Rao-Monari on 20 September 2022 on the margins of the 77th UN General Assembly in New York. 
Secretary General and Associate Administrator underlined the importance of further cooperation between the two organizations in addressing current global challenges and furthering the Sustainable Development Agenda – 2030. 
Secretary General, emphasizing the expanded agenda of the Organization and establishment of new mechanism such as the Turkic Investment Fund, noted that new avenues of cooperation are available for the two organizations to further their ongoing partnership, the legal basis of which was founded upon the Memorandum of Understanding concluded between the OTS and UNDP in 2016. 
Associate Administrator Rao Monari agreed to have further consultations and come up with a concrete plan of action and prospective projects to collaborate in particularly in the areas of common concern including green transition, renewable energy and green bonds.
Parties also exchanged views on the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and its repercussions on the region and the world.
