The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev had a meeting with H.E. Amb. Suriya Chindawongse, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United Nations and Chair of the 6th Committee of the General Assembly of the United Nations on 20 February 2024 in New York.
At the meeting the Secretary General shared a general overview of the Organization, its activities and increasing cooperation with UN institutions and agencies.
At the meeting the Parties exchanged views on possible ways to advance the pending observer status application of the OTS at the UN General Assembly.
The meeting served as a platform to exchange insights, discuss areas of mutual interest, and explore avenues for an enhanced visibility of the Organization of Turkic States at the United Nations.
