On May 10, 2023, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, met with the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Daniyar Amangeldiev.

Secretary General Omuraliev and Minister Amangeldiev expressed their mutual commitment to the implementation of decisions made by the Heads of State at the 9th Summit held in Samarkand in November 2022 and the Extraordinary Summit that took place in Ankara in March 2023, recognizing the profound impact these decisions can have on the economies of the Turkic States.

The conversation underscored the urgency of fostering free trade and removing existing barriers to strengthen economic ties and stimulate growth within the OTS member states. The parties also highlighted the necessity of transitioning towards a green economy, with a specific focus on sustainable practices and technologies.

In addition, the meeting addressed the importance of digital trading. The parties agreed on the need to develop and utilize digital platforms to enhance trade among OTS member states, recognizing the potential of digital transformation in boosting economic development and competitiveness.
