The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev received the Consul General of Hungary in Istanbul H.E. Atilla Pinter on 3 February 2023 at the premises of the OTS Secretariat.
Secretary General and the Consul General widely discussed the enhancing cooperation between the OTS countries and Hungary, and made a follow-up to the outcomes of the Secretary General’s recent meetings with the Prime Minister of Hungary H.E. Viktor Orbán, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, and the Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly and Head of the Central Asian Friendship Group H.E. Sándor Lezsák on the occasion of the Secretary General’s visit to Hungary on 11-15 January 2023. 
They also discussed the results of the Samarkand Summit, made evaluations about the Turkic cooperation within the framework of the Organization considering the developments taking place in the region surrounding the OTS countries, and exchanged views about the meetings and activities that will be realized in upcoming period by the OTS in general and the OTS Budapest Office in particular.
Secretary General reiterated the contentment of the OTS countries for Hungary’s active role and involvement in the work of the Organization.
