On April 18, 2023, H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), received H.E. Mr. Julien Thöni, the Consul General of Switzerland in Istanbul, at the OTS Secretariat.
The purpose of the meeting was to engage in a comprehensive dialogue concerning issues related to regional development and cooperation.
The Secretary General and the Consul General discussed the achievements, ongoing projects, and future plans of the OTS in various areas, such as the economy, energy, transport, tourism, and development.
Additionally, Secretary General Omuraliev updated Consul General Thöni on the latest efforts of the OTS to develop ties with international organizations, particularly with the UN and its specialized agencies, as well as with OSCE, ASEAN, UNECE, UNIDO, and UN Habitat.
