President of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Ilham Aliyev received Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev on 8 February 2024 within framework of the Early Presidential Elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on his victory in the elections. He presented information on the monitoring activities of the International Observation Mission of the OTS in the Early Presidential Elections and noted that the Mission conducted its activities also in Shusha, Khankandi and Khojaly. 

President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude to the OTS observation mission for monitoring the elections.

Secretary General Omuraliev emphasized Azerbaijan’s continuous contributions to the integration process within the OTS.

During the meeting the President and the Secretary General exchanged views on the upcoming OTS Informal Summit to be held in Azerbaijan this year.
