As part of the 10th Congress of the World Turkish Business Council, organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEIK) in Istanbul on September 15-16, 2023, a panel titled "Organization of Turkic States: 5 States, One Diaspora" was moderated by H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The distinguished panelists included; Mr. Elnur Aliyev, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Abzal Abdikarimov, Deputy Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Mustafa Tuzcu, Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Nozim Kholmurodov, First Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan and Mr. Şahap Aşıkoğlu, Undersecretary of the TRNC Ministry of Economy and Energy.
During this insightful event, the panelists engaged in fruitful discussions about enhancing communication between diaspora communities and fostering corresponding commercial activities, aligning them with the overarching vision of the Organization of Turkic States. They also explored future prospects in this important sphere.
Subsequent to the panel discussion, the official opening ceremony took place in the presence of H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Türkiye. At this event, OTS Secretary General Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev and DEIK President Nail Olpak signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEIK).
