Participants of the Turkic Council Junior Diplomats 6th Joint Training Program visited Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA) and Heydar Aliyev Center on 16 May 2019.

Secretary of the Commission on Environment and Natural Resources of TURKPA, Mr. Emin Hasanov led an information session about the parliamentary dimension of Turkic cooperation, the establishment of the organization, its current and future activities and cooperation with other Turkic cooperation institutions and international organizations.

Next, the participants visited the library of the Secretariat, which was opened in 2018 and contains numerous publications, albums and souvenirs with national symbols from the member countries, reflecting strong cooperation and friendship among them.

Later that day, the diplomats visited Heydar Aliyev Center, an internationally recognized architectural work due to its innovative and cutting-edge design, which became a signature landmark in present day Baku.

The participants learned about the significance and immensity of National Leader Haydar Aliyev’s heritage and his biography, as well as about the rich history of Azerbaijan, its folk costumes, carpets and musical instruments from different regions.
