President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Halil Akıncı on April 17, 2012. The sides pointed to the importance of the measures the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States has been taking for a further strengthening of relations among Turkic countries in bilateral and multilateral formats and exchanged views on the future of the organization.
