President of Uzbekistan H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid an official visit to Turkey between February 19-20, 2020 upon the invitation of President of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
President Erdoğan and President Mirziyoyev co-chaired the first meeting of the Turkey-Uzbekistan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Ankara on February 19, 2020.
All aspects of the bilateral relations between Turkey and Uzbekistan were reviewed and possible steps for the deepening of the cooperation developing between the two countries on the basis of strategic partnership were addressed during the talks held as part of the visit. Besides bilateral relations, views on regional and international issues were also exchanged.
President Mirziyoyev participated as a guest of honor in the inauguration of the Presidential Library on February 20.
President Mirziyoyev also met with Turkish businesspeople in Ankara.
