President of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Ilham Aliyev has received the newly appointed Secretary General of the Turkic Council Mr. Ramil Hasanov on 13 September 2014 at the presidential residence.
The Secretary General of the Turkic Council expressed his thanks to the President for the confidence shown to him, and for the election to an important duty at such an important international organization.
Mr. Hasanov, presented information about the activities of the Turkic Council accomplished in the last four years as well as future activities, plans and projects to further develope relations between the member states.
President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the newly elected Secretary General and wished him success in his three years of term of office. President Aliyev also drew attention to the importance given by Azerbaijan to the activities of the Turkic Council and stated that Azerbaijan will continue to support its activities in order to further strengthen Turkic Council among other international organizations.
Secretary General, presented his gratitude to the Mr. President, for his acceptance and continuous support.
