The Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) was hosted by Erlan Idrissov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 10 September in Astana on the margins of the Fifth Summit of the Turkic Council. Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Erlan Abdyldaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Feridun Sinirlioğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council, participated in the meeting.

Ramil Hasanov addressed the meeting and briefed the Ministers on the work and activities of the Turkic Council throughout the year and presented the annual report of the Turkic Council Secretariat.

At the meeting, together with Adil Akhmetov, Kazakhstan Representative of the Council of Elders of the Turkic Council, Jandos Asanov, Secretary General of TURKPA, Dusen Kaseinov, Secretary General of TURKSOY, Darkhan Kydyrali, President of International Turkic Academy and Günay Afandiyeva, Acting President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation provided information to the Ministers about the work of their institutions.

Foreign Ministers also agreed to sign statuary documents of the International Turkic Academy, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Center of Nomadic Civilization at the Fifth Summit of the Heads of States of the Turkic Council.

The Ministers congratulated people of Kazakhstan on the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate.

The Fifth Summit of the Turkic Council will be held on 11 September 2015 in Astana.
