Turkic Council Project Director Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek attended the "ECO Day" reception held in Tehran on 7 December 2016, on the occasion of the 31st Anniversary of the Organization of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
At the reception hosted by ECO Secretary General Ambassador Halil İbrahim Akça, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Mr. Abbas Arakçi, senior bureaucrats of Iran, members of diplomatic missions residing in Tehran, representatives of regional and international organizations as well as the delegations attending the 27th Regional Planning Council Meeting were present.
Ambassador Akca and Deputy Minister Arakçi addressed to the guests, explaining how ECO became a ten-member organization with dedicated work and emphasizing that further efforts should be made to assess the potential for cooperation in many areas.
