The 127th/128th Sessions of the Customs Co-operation Council of the World Customs Organization (WCO) started on 14 July 2016 at the headquarters of the WCO in Brussels.
The three-day sessions opened with the address by the Chairman of the Council Mr. Zouhair Chorfi and the adoption of the agenda. Afterwards, the Secretary General of the WCO made a presentation on the annual activities of the WCO.
In the following sessions, policy, technical and financial matters of the WCO will be discussed in addition to the election of the next Chairperson of the Council and other high level staff of the Policy Commission, Finance Committee, and Audit Committee.
Numerous representatives from the WCO member states and international organizations are participating in the sessions.
Project Director Mr. Mehmet Şefik Yurtçiçek is attending the meetings on behalf of the Turkic Council Secretariat.
