Project Director of the Turkic Council Zamin Aliyev took part in the conference organized by Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM) entitled “Karabakh War Through the Eyes of a Russian Academician - First Terrorist War in the History of Humanity”. The speaker, historian Dr. Oleg Kuztensov, addressed the audience at the event which took place on 23 February 2017 in Ankara.
Informing the participants on the historical process of the Azerbaijan-Armenian conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh in general, speaker of the conference Kuznetsov maintained that the Azerbaijani territory is occupied by Armenia. He also narrated about the Khojaly massacre taken place in February of 1992 noting that the Karabakh war was the first terrorist war in human history.
A number of retired ambassadors, academicians, representatives from embassies located in Ankara and students attended the conference.
