Project Director Pelin Musabay Baki delivered a speech at the session entitled "the emerging opportunities and challenges for the Turkic Council" at the conference hosted on 10 November 2017 in Baku by Strategic Research Center under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in the framework of 4th Meeting of the Official Foreign Policy Research Centers of the Turkic Council Member States.
At her speech, she informed the audience about the structure and activities of the Turkic Council in political, economy and educational fields.Moreover, she touched upon the strategic projects of the Turkic Council while giving information on the completion phase of the Modern Silk Road Joint Tour Package Project and the designing of the Online Academy on Preventing Violent Extremism to be launched in cooperation with the UNDP. In the meantime, she also touched upon the increased relations of the Turkic Council with the UN specialized agencies and other international organizations. She also mentioned that the Turkic Council is one of the implementing partners of the Global South South Development EXPO to be organized by the UN Office for South-South Cooperation and hosted by the Government of Turkey on 27-30 November 2017 in Antalya.
After the conference, Project Directors Pelin Musabay Baki and Jeyhun Shahverdiyev attended the internal meeting of the representatives from the Official Foreign Research Centers of the Turkic Council. In this meeting, the Parties discussed the projects to be completed and the new initiatives to be launched within this sub-cooperation mechanism of the Turkic Council in the period ahead.
