Second High Level Seminar on Trade in Central Asia, Eleventh Meeting of the Thematic Working Group on Trade of UNECE was held on 10 July 2017 in Geneva.
The Second High Level Seminar on Trade in Central Asia, Eleventh Meeting of the Thematic Working Group on Trade of UN Economic Commission of Europe (UNECE) was held on 10 July 2017 in Geneva at the premises of World Trade Organisation.
The said event was organised for the Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan by the UN Economic Commission of Europe (UNECE). It focused on the trade- related Sustainable Development Goals in Central Asia.
The event reviewed national and regional plans and strategies of the said countries for trade development and facilitation. Representatives of WTO, UNECE, ESCAP and World Bank delivered their presentations of the trade facilitation and various tools that used to this end.
Turkic Council Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ömer Kocaman and Project Director Farid Damirli who were participating in the workshop also discussed the possible cooperations matters with UNECE representative Mario Apostolo.
