Second Meeting among the Space Agencies and Relevant Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was convened on 25 April 2023 in Tashkent.
The Meeting was moderated by H.E. Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS, hosted by Mr. Kadirov Shukhrat, Director of the Uzbek Space Agency and attended by Mr. Samaddin Asadov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Space Agency, Mr. Olzhabekov Malik, Vice-Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Timur Tokoldoshov, Deputy Chairman of the Service for the Regulation and Supervision of Communications Sector under the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Serdar Hüseyin Yıldırım, President of the Turkish Space Agency and Mr. Arnold Ács, Head of Department of Space Policy and Space Activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
At the meeting, Parties underlined the importance of increasing cooperation in the field of space and sharing experience among the experts in this field.
Parties agreed to work on developing joint cube satellite project which will be realized with the earth observation mission and provided information on their national space policies and agreed to establish cooperation among the universities and space centers to conduct scientific studies.
Member and Observer States further confirmed to ensure the participation of the youngsters to the Space Camp in İzmir to be held on 27 August-2 September 2023.
Parties expressed their appreciation to the Uzbek side for hosting the event and Space Technology Conference to be taken place on 26-29 April 2023 in Tashkent.
