Secretariat organized two days online meeting of the OTS Working Group on ICT 
The Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) convened two days online ad-hoc meeting of the Working Group on Information and communication Technologies (ICT) with the participation of experts from relevant authorities of the Member States of OTS on 26-27 April 2022. 
In his opening remarks, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS Mr. Mirvokhid Azimov underlined that the digital technologies and integration to digital markets play a key role to accelerate access to knowledge and education, for equality and participation and for economic growth and job creation in the OTS Member States.
He also noted that the realization of tasks on the agenda of the working group meeting would significantly contribute to the development of the IT potential of the participating countries and the regional technological ecosystem in general.       
The Parties discussed the practical issues of enhancing multilateral cooperation on development of digital infrastructure and smart cities, cyber-security issues and deepening cooperation in E-Government and e-services among the Member States. They also expressed the necessity to continue the modernization of IT infrastructure, enhance the scientific and technological cooperation for supporting research and development, realization of joint projects the field of ICT. 
The Member States agreed to further explore opportunities for sharing knowledge, experience and information in the field of information technology, as well as exchanged views on the agenda of the special Meeting of Ministers in charge of ICT to be held on 26 May 2022 in Baku.
