The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev addressed a video message for the roundtable meeting of ICT Ministers on the theme "Digital Cooperation and Digital Society" organized in the framework of the International Forum – “Digital Bridge 2023” on 12 October 2023 in Astana.
The meeting was held at the initiative of the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Bagdat Musin and attended by Ministers and high-ranking representatives of a number of countries and international/ regional organizations.
In the video message, the Secretary General stated that ICT is one of the most important areas of cooperation within the OTS and the Organization has a unique position to facilitate interaction among its Member States.
Ambassador Omuraliev added that the OTS Secretariat is currently playing coordinating role by supporting and assisting the IT companies from the Turkic region to establish a close networking and collaboration between relevant stakeholders, including technoparks and technology/innovation centers.
In this regard, Secretary General emphasized the contribution of Kazakhstan to the development and deepening of ICT cooperation in in the OTS region by initiating and implementing the important initiatives and projects.
