Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council addressed the diplomatic session entitled "Silk and Peace: the Diplomatic Way", held on 10 June 2016 in Valencia at the Museum of Fine Arts in the framework of the 2nd Meeting of the International Network for the UNESCO Silk Road Online Platform.

Prior to the session, Secretary General Hasanov presented a Turkic Council pin to Jose Maria Chiquillo, who is recently appointed as the President of UNESCO in Velancia and expressed his gratitude for organizing this event.

Ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, China, Croatia, Egypt, Iran, Morocco, Russian Federation and Uzbekistan as well as high representatives of UNESCO, Valencia-Silk City for 2016, relevant authorities of the Kingdom of Spain also delivered their speeches at the session.

Secretary General Hasanov in his speech underlined the close linkage between the heritage of the Silk Road and Peace informed the audience about the Turkic Council`s activities contributing to promotion of peace, dialogue, tolerance and stability in and around the region.

Project Directors Pelin Musabay Baki, Yedil Myrzakhanov, Farid Damirli and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul, Representative of Sheki Governorship from the Republic of Azerbaijan Sarkhan Musayev and Reha Yeresen, Coordinator for Foreign Relations of Young Entrepreneurs of Turkey accompanied Secretary General Hasanov during the conference.
