Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council and Prof. Darkhan Kydyrali, President of the International Turkic Academy co-hosted a reception on 28 March 2016 at the UN HQ on the occasion of the High Level Symposium organized by the Academy.
The reception was attended by the honorary guests such as Nobel Prize Laureate Aziz Sancar, renowned historians Edward Allworth and Kemal Karpat together with more than 100 participants including academicians, media representatives and diplomats.
After the reception, TURKSOY organized a glorious cultural event in observance of International Day of Nowruz at the UN General Assembly that was participated by the Permanent Representatives of the Turkic Council Member States to UN as well as more than 750 high level guests.
Turkic Council was represented by Deputy Secretary Abzal Saparbekuly accompanied by Project Director Pelin Musabay Baki at both events.
