Within the framework of the official visit of Turkic Council delegation headed by Ambassador Ramil Hasanov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council hosted a reception for the Permanent Representatives of UN Member Countries regarding the observer status application of Turkic Council.
During the reception, invitees watched the Turkic Council presentation movie and following the movie Secretary General Hasanov delivered a speech to the participants.
In his speech, Secretary General briefed the audience about the activities of the Council, emphasized the existing relations of the Council with other international organizations as well as the UN bodies and stated the importance of Turkic Council’s observer status to the United Nations General Assembly for the region and beyond the region.
The reception, being honored through the high level participation of Permanent Representatives and Representatives of missions to UN, was the first ever activity of the Turkic Council within the UN premises.
Project Director Zamin Aliyev and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to Secretary General Hasanov in this significant event.
