Within the framework of New York visit, the Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov had a meeting with Mrs. Cihan Sultanoğlu, Assistant Secretary General, Administrator and Director of Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States of the UNDP on 15 May 2015.
During the meeting issues of mutual interest, future avenues of cooperation between the Turkic Council and the UNDP, including the joint conference on “ICT for Development” which will contribute to the development agenda of the Turkic Council Member States as well as other countries in the region. Secretary General briefed Mrs. Cihan Sultanoğlu on the activities of the Turkic Council.
Mrs. Sultanoğlu mentioned the importance of the cooperation between Turkic Council and UNDP, moreover stated that UNDP will give its support to the efforts of the Council to further the existing relations.
At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Hasanov presented a gift to Mrs. Sultanoğlu in the memory of the visit.
Turkic Council Project Director Zamin Aliyev and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to the Secretary General Hasanov at the meeting.
