Within the framework of New York visit, the Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasanov met with Richard Wright, Director of UNRWA Representative Office on 15 May 2015.
During the meeting issues of mutual interest, possible future avenues of cooperation between the Turkic Council and UNRWA was discussed. Secretary General Hasanov briefed Mr. Wright in detail about the activities of the Turkic Council.
Mr. Wright, Director of UNRWA Representative Office expressed his appreciation with meeting with the Secretary General Hasanov and noted exploring the development of cooperation programme through the Council that would result in funding key projects of interest to the Council and its members in benefit of Palestine refugees. In addition, Mr. Wright gave information about the present situation in Palestine issue.
Secretary General Hasanov presented a gift to Mr. Wright in the memory of the visit at the end of the meeting.
Turkic Council Project Director Zamin Aliyev and Chief of Protocol Emre Yurdakul accompanied to the Secretary General Hasanov at the meeting.
