H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) attended to the “Space Technology Conference 2023 Central Eurasia” on 26 April 2023, which was hosted by H.E. Sherzod Shermatov, Minister for Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Secretary General Omuraliev delivered the keynote speech in the opening session namely “Regional collaboration, international investment and sustainable space industry development”.
In his speech, Secretary General underlined the importance of using the outer space for peaceful purposes which presents a powerful tool for furthering the well-being of humanity. Touching upon the deep-rooted history of astronomy studies in the Turkic World, Secretary General briefed the participants regarding the ongoing cooperation under the umbrella of OTS in the field of space.
Space Technology Conference brings together more than 300 stakeholders from 25 different countries in the field of space and is being held in Uzbekistan for the second time on 25-27 April 2023.
