Secretary General attended the 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions
Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreyev participated in the 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held on 14-15 September 2022 in Nur-Sultan, the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Hosted by the President of Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Congress was attended by the Head of the Catholic Church Pope Francis, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed El-Tayeb, the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel David Lau as well as the leaders of other worlds main religious communities. 
In the 2-days large scale world event, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noted in his speech that the most influential leaders of the clergy from all over the world gathered under a single roof and stated that the Kazakh land was at the spotlight of a constructive dialogue between different cultures throughout the Congress.
The Kazakh leader expressed his belief that the spiritual leaders can and will help in overcoming the contradictions of the modern world as well as in achieving greater wellbeing for all humanity.
The meeting adopted the Declaration of the 7th Congress of World and Traditional Religions that covers fundamental issues of the agenda of the world’s inter religious dialogue and may be regarded as a guide for governments, political leaders and international organizations all over the world.
On the margins of the Congress, the Secretary General organized a  meeting of  the Muslim religion leaders of the Organization of Turkic States and had bilateral meetings with a number of world and traditional religious leaders.
